Hunter Pence (Texas-Arlington)- OF-2002 Mohawk-Majors- Houston Astros
The former 2nd round pick hit .282 with 25 homeruns and 72 RBI for the Astros .  The Houston fan favorite also had 14 stolen bases on the season. 
 
Brendan Harris (William and Mary)- IF-1998 Mohawk-Major Leagues-Minnesota Twins
Hit .261 with 6 homeruns in 123 games for the Twins.
 
Val Pascucci-OF-1997 Mohawk (U of Oklahoma)-San Diego Padres
Hit .248 with 17 homeruns and 77 RBIs for Padres Triple AAA affiliate the Portland Beavers of the Pacific Coast League.
 
Derrick Gordon-LHP-2005 Mohawk (Lamar University)-Oakland A’s
Was 5-6 with a 3.81 ERA on the season as a relief pitcher.  He also had 92 strikeouts in 87 innings pitching for the A’s High Class A affiliate in Stockton of the California League.
 
John Allman (University of Kansas)-OF-2004 Mohawk-Cleveland Indians
Hit .294 with 7 homeruns and 57 RBIs and was promoted twice during the 2009 season.  Ended the year playing for the Indians High Class A team the Kinston Indians.
 
Cord Phelps (Stanford University)-2B-2006 Mohawk-Cleveland Indians
Hit .261 with 4 homeruns and 17 stolen bases.  The former 3rd round pick played for the Indians High Class A team in the Carolina League also in Kinston,NC.
 
Austin Hyatt (University of Alabama)-RHP-2006 Mohawk-Philadelphia Phillies
Ended up 3-0 with 6 saves and a microscopic 1.22 ERA.  In 59 innings pitched, Austin struck out an amazing 89 hitters and walked only 14 while playing for the Phillies Class A affiliate.
 
Eric Beaulac (LeMoyne College)-RHP-2006, 2007 Mohawk- New York Mets
As a starting pitcher, the Mohawks Baseball Hall of Famer, was sensational going 7-7 with a 2.95 ERA pitching for the Savannah Sand Gnats, the Mets Class A affiliate.  Eric struck out 133 batters and walked only 41 in 116 innings pitched.
 
Mike Spina (University of Cincinnati)-3B-2008-Oakland A’s
Despite missing a month of the season due to injury, the former Amsterdam crowd favorite hit .263 with 7 homeruns and was promoted twice during the season, ending up in the A’s High Class A affiliate in Kane County. 
 
Josh Colafemenia (St. Rose) -2B-2004, 2005
Hit .245 with 33 stolen bases playing for Les Capitales de Quebec  of the Can-Am Independent League.
 
Nate Lape (Marshall University)-OF-2007
Hit .217 with 4 homeruns as a late season sign playing for the Gateway Grizzlies of the Frontier Independent League.  Nate was hampered by injuries during the entire 2009 season.
 
Don’t forget fans the Mohawks 2010 Hall of Fame Hot Stove Dinner is Saturday January 23nd. To purchase individual tickets or a table of 10 email   gm@amsterdammohawks.com. This annual event will “stoke” the fire for all who will be anxiously awaiting the words-“pitchers and catchers"
